Blog vs. Wiki

Blogs and wikis are taking a significant portion of our life of the living. As soon as we search something on google blogs and wikis provides the exact answers we are looking for. Blogs and wikis have a similarity that both handles a huge amount of information that people need and looks for. Overall both blogs and wikis are made to interface between users. The intersection of humanities between users develop the basic structure and as the users interface more and more the blogs and wikis get develop simultaneously. People can share their experience or research they have found with billions of people. Then, the people who read it again share their thoughts by writing feedbacks or posting their own article. Whenever I buy some accurate and decent goods I simply search on wiki like"Top 10 laptops chosen by the college student in 2019". Then wiki gives me the exact information that I'm looking for.

Especially, blogs are now often collaborated with many other businesses for them to introduce their products. It is a fact that blogging helps business to compete with other competitors, especially for the startup business owners. Blogs can post all the aspect of goods they are advertising and people can see reviews of the products or something like a durable test. And as the blogger has more followers they can earn lots of money too.

I think the wiki can be more used on education with more accurate info. Like many videos on youtube, professional teachers record their lectures and upload for the student who needs extra help. They provide many useful sources and legit summary on chapters which really helps students and they keep subscribing the youtuber. I think wiki can actually provide educated sources for student and also get paid by students. They can provide one on one tutoring or upload video lecture on a certain subject that people might want to learn about.

  1. I really like the idea that you thought of about using Wiki for education and learning. I always use Khan Academy to learn about topics that are difficult to understand. However, all these videos were on YouTube and finding them took awhile. If there was a place where the videos were linked or stored, it would be a lot easier for students to learn and collaborate on their ideas.

  2. It's quite interesting when you brought up the notion of getting paid more as you acquire more followers on a blog. Many internet sensations collect millions of dollars in income by reviewing products and services. Blogs are one way to do it and are often supplemented with videos on YouTube. Seven-year old Ryan earned $22 million in 2018 through his personal vlog reviewing toys and other products for children. His income also comes from ads and his toy line, Ryan's World.
